GB3SR Allstar Repeater & Analogue Repeater working in Harmony

Your Central "East Coat of Linconshire Repeater" Working For You!

Ok, NO-IP is a free service for those of us that need a statice IP address. I have used it for a while now and I am very pleased with it. NO-IP provids me with a static FREE IP which I need for the Allmon Service on the repeater. You can pay if you like but why would you if they offer a service free.

They send you emails every month to remind you to "RENEW" your free service.

Watch out as more often then not the email always goes in to the SPAM box and I can miss the renew time sometimes.

It`s not a problem you just go on the site and renew and off you go again. If like me you use BT which gives you a floating IP address`s then this is an important service for the repeater GB3SR.

I have no ties to the service except I use it, so I get nothing from pointing you in their direction.

I just heard a QSO on Hubnet the other morning around this subject and thought I would put this up to help out.

There are other service`s out there also but I am happy with NO-IP.

If you have any problems using the service just give me a call. My number is dotted around the website and if I can help I will The No-IP. Right the sellinp point so to speak, or write in this case.

Right the websitespeel!

Free Dynamic DNS service takes your dynamic IP address and makes it act as though it is static by pointing a static host name to it and checking every 5 minutes for changes to your IP address.

If your IP address changes, our Dynamic Update Client updates your hostname with the current IP address. This means you can run a server from home and access your computer, or IP camera remotely. The No-IP Managed DNS service makes your website reliable and super redundant by handling your website's DNS.

You point your domain's name servers at ours, which will ensure that your website is hosted on our awesome Anycast Network with 19 points of presence worldwide. Remember, there are no upsides to downtime. How much would downtime cost you?
